The two-week countdown starts. This year Black Friday deals are set on November 25.

A lot of stores have “leaked” their sales prices. But there are still a lot of predictions and ideas on which deals to expect on this day.

The National Retail Federation says that each year an average holiday shopper spends about $700 on decorations and gifts. Many of us can spend even less or buy more if we keep an eye on holiday sales.

Popular Black Friday Items

Customers can’t wait to get their hands on advertisements to find out of the products they plan to purchase is on the Black Friday list. Electronics and technology is always popular. And this year is not an exception.

People will look for the best deals on various gadgets, TVs, e-book readers, Blu-ray players, laptops and Apple devices. Toys, cellphones, cameras and GPS are also the products people will fight for.

Apple Joins the Game

If you enjoy Apple’s products, you might also know that this company will most likely offer the minimal discounts. According to DealNews, this year Apple will take only 5-10% off its computers and iPods. There won’t be any deals on the iPhone 4S.

Will Apple sell the iPad 2 cheaper on Black Friday? This is another question that many of us will love to get an answer for.

According to the official BlackFriday.info representative Jon Vincent, Apple might take 5-10% off its second-generation tablet computer for online shoppers on Thanksgiving Day (November 24, 2011) only.

Don’t expect to get discounts on the iPad 2 at stores like Walmart or Target. Apple will not make it happen.

Tablets to Go Mainstream

According to experts, this year’s Black Friday will be the first shopping holiday when tablet computers go mainstream.

Motorola and Samsung are going to compete for shoppers. Lucky customers might even buy a Samsung Galaxy Tab for less than $300 or spend $350 on a Motorola XOOM tablet computer.
