Transform Hacked Old Macbook into a Nice Tablet

Users who do not have an iPad can use their MacBook as an alternative, by recycling it and turning it into a tablet.
This is something that is no longer surprising since Axiotron is selling the ModBook, a MacBook that has been converted into a tablet. This option is intended for those who don’t have enough budgets to spend for the real iDevice.
The process was featured by Matt at Enigma Penguin, showing how he dismantled and converted his MacBook into a computer tablet.
The process includes replacing the regular screen with a touchscreen and installing various drivers so that everything will become functional.
After the conversion, the device will run the iPad applications correctly, and will work like a real touch screen device.
The converted MacBook will also use Ink, OS X’s built-in handwriting recognition feature.
This is a great idea for those who don’t want to toss their old Macs away, but are eager to transform their gadgets into something modern and useful.
