The British Prefer iPad to TV

Over 1,000 British iPad users gave up TV after purchasing Apple’s tablet device. Still, the computer remains the leading entertainment device among them.
A recent survey carried out among British iPad owners via telephone has shown that Apple’s breakthrough tablet device is actually more popular than TV.
The survey has also revealed that the iPad has turned into the most popular device used for reading e-books, mags and newspapers as well as for playing games. The survey has been initiated by Cooper Murphy Webb, which is a copywriting agency very popular in Britain (the one that enlivens your copy with bursts of color you must know this slogan if you live in the UK, for sure).
However, even iPad users still claim the computer to be their preferred entertainment device.
Other interesting results of the July 28 Aug 10 survey that analyzed 1,034 respondents in Great Britain (all of them being iPad owners) are as follows:
- 43% of the respondents played around with their iPads for over 10 hours/week. Moreover, 15% of them could only be content with 20+ hours a week.
- 5% of the respondents always took their iPads with them when leaving home. On the contrary, 27% of the respondents never took their iPads out.
- 38% of the respondents stick to iPad in most of the cases they surf the Net.
- 31% of the respondents claim that they read mags and newspapers mostly on iPad.
- 41% of the respondents claim that they mostly read books on iPad.
