Summer Fiction for iPad: Best Books to Read

Most people think that summer is not as romantic as spring. But personally I believe that summer is the most romantic season of the year. It’s the time for summer fiction on the beach.

With the iPad my summer fiction dreams have become a reality. I can take 10+ books with me on a vacation, and my bag does not weight an extra 5-7 kg! I just upload the most interesting and best books on the iPad and read them whenever I have a spare minute.

Here are some of the best books to read on the beach. It’s the first part of the summer fiction for iPad series. I hope you will find it useful!

1. The Summer Without Men by Siri Hustvedt:

 Can you imagine your husband asking you for a pause in marriage because of his affair with another woman? Main character of The Summer Without Men summer fiction for iPad, Mia Fredricksen in her 50s, cracked up when she heard this.

Then she pulled herself together and decided to spend her summer in the town where she grew up. She got finally interested with the lives of people around her: her neighbor with children and angry husband, her mom and people in her poetry class (Mia is a poet herself). Her summer without men made her understand what she wanted and needed the most.

This iPad book is a tragic-comedy. This novel is about girls and women, feelings and war between the sexes.

2. Lifeguard by James Patterson & Andrew Gross:

 Ned Kelly is a lifeguard at a resort in Florida. He has met a woman he is crazy about. She is his true second half – except that she loves caviar and fashion designers, and he loves burgers and flip flops.

Ned’s cousin offered him to take a high risk that could make him $5 million richer. However something went wrong on the heist’s night. Is there anybody to save our lifeguard?

Ned has to run away and leave everything behind him. It is the only way to keep his life safe right now. But he has to find out who sabotaged his heist. Were those his old enemies or was it his new love?

 

3. Lowcountry Summer by Dorothea Benton Frank:

This novel is a great example of summer fiction for iPad. Caroline Wimbley Levine is the main character of this iPad book. She has buried the truths about her life and the life of her family. And now, as her mother is gone, those dark secrets are about to surface.

This novel is a fast paced one. It contains drama and secrets, vivid descriptions and rich language. It will suit those iPad readers who wish to excape into a good book by the New York Time bestselling author for a couple of hours.
