The Apple iPad was released on the 3rd of April 2010 and since its release has become a runaway hit. In just over a month of its release, the Apple iPad has managed to generate sales of over 1 million of their units. The device was officially unveiled by the chief executive officer of Apple, Steve Jobs, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. However, all the anticipation and the wait that people had to endure for its release was well justified with the host of options that this device contains. The Apple iPad works on the same lines as the iPhone, but contains a host of new features as well. Even though the same operating system is used by the iPhone and the iPad, it does not mean that it is exactly similar to the iPhone. The Apple iPad contains support for all the applications that can be deployed in the Apple iPod touch and the Apple iPhone, but a lot of new Apple applications are also supported in the Apple iPad, such as e book readers etc. The Apple iPad sports a brilliant 10.1 inch liquid clear display screen which is finger print resistant and scratch resistant to provide maximum safety and reduce the chances of damage. The screen is designed in such a way that it is best to use the Apple Ipad with bare hands rather than taking assistance from a stylus pen or using it while wearing gloves.

The colors and picture quality of the Apple iPad is excellent. The 1024×768 pixel resolution takes nothing away from the sharpness and vibrance that is provided by the Apple iPad screen. A brilliant touch system which makes the device a lot of fun to use also engages users. Just like the iPhone, the iPad offers an icon that literally converts your iPad to your iPhone and you can listen to your favorite music on your favorite device. However, its size causes a hindrance in carrying it around with you and it is best to keep your Apple iPad on your work table to provide as much efficiency as possible. The brilliant graphical display is epitomized while playing the games that are supported with this device. Even though it is actually designed to be used as a tablet computer, the Apple iPad features a SIM tray which can be used to provide mobile connectivity for users on the go. The 3G connectivity option provides for a faster data transfer and better voice quality on your Apple iPad. You can also use applications such as Skype, and they would function perfectly because of the big screen in which you can video chat. The internet connectivity is superb, and a whole host of options are available to users while using the internet on their Apple iPad. Numerous options such as Wi Fi connectivity, WAP connectivity, modem and Bluetooth connectivity make the Apple iPad a highly connectible device and provide easy coverage.
