Slide to Play’s New Game: Predator

For a mere $2.99 you can acquire the new game from Slide to Play, which is based on the film Predator. You, the gamer, are the predator, and your aim is to gruesomely murder the heroes of the film, preferably impaling their heads on poles and watching the gore drip from them.
To help you in your quest for blood you will be able to buy a number of desirable weapons for your arsenal and upgrade them as you progress through the game. Basically, the more you kill the more weapons you get.
Be prepared for a slow start though, as after an hour, you’re still learning how to play the game. There’s a lot for you to learn, such as how to use the weapons to their best advantage, including the Harry potter-style invisible cloak.
An analog D-pad controls the moves you make and this is quite responsive, but it takes a long time to complete a kill, which leaves you vulnerable to loss of health or to attack and death, just before you get to move on to the next level. However this adds strategy to the game.
One criticism is that all the environments look the same, an open space, a stream and a felled or fallen tree. They’re not as imaginative as they might be. Everything you could desire as a predator is in your arsenal though but you can be defeated, so don’t rest on your laurels.
