A week ago iPadsHouse’s rating of popular and free iPad applications was mainly filled with newspapers. This week the situation has changed a bit.

News applications are still in the listing, however iPad users are trying to educate themselves more, downloading and installing useful programs that would either take them around the world for free or show them how to create iPad shortcuts and discover hidden features.

A recipe app is still in the list, because girlfriends and wives do like to cook and surprise those who they love. Besides this, we have an application for kids who can enjoy a popular Disney story on their parents’ tablet, and an app for music lovers.

And here goes our rating!

1. 1000 Ultimate Experiences: You need to hurry and install this application right away, because it is free today (from June 1 to June 3), but will be paid tomorrow. Some experts say, it might cost you $20 if you don’t have time to download it today from the iTunes.

1000 Ultimate Experiences is a perfect application for travelers. Before you decide where you want to go the next time, you can check out experiences of those who have already traveled to this or that destination. Bright images and useful recommendations might help you out in the future. You can take a look at Lovely Planet TV videos made by different travelers and share them with your friends.

2. Tips & Tricks iPad: We had an article on iPadsHouse.com about 10 Essential iPad Tips and Tricks. Well, now you can have an application that might help you out with creating shortcuts, discovering hidden features and other tips & tricks. With this app you can learn to type faster, to save your information and make your iPad’s battery life last longer.

This is your chance to be the guru of your Apple’s tablet. When you learn something new, you can always share your knowledge with your friends via email.

3. Newsy for iPad: Multisource Video News Analysis: This app has been developed specially for your tablet. This is your source for news and analytics. This is not a common news aggregator, as it has daily informative videos that truly show all the nuances in the world’s reporting.

You get access to the news site. You can enjoy innovative playlist, comment and rate videos, share information via Twitter and email, easily browse videos you like and filter them by category, etc. In case you are facing a problem with video not playing back, your tablet’s reboot might help to solve it.

4. Newsweek for iPad: Unlike many other newspapers and magazines, this application delivers a free issue to its users called Politics in the Age of Obama: Photos, Cartoons, and Perspective. 6. Bloomberg for iPad: This application is a trusted source for financial information. It allows iPad users analyzing the world’s financial markets. You get latest news, stock quotes, and charts with prices, trends analysis, and much more. Users can create the list of stocks they wish to follow and stick to it.

7. Pandora Radio: This free radio will play music on your iPad. You are able to start with the name of artists, songs, and this app will create your station of music that you like.

8. The Betty Crocker: Want to make a tasty cake? Ask Betty Crocker Cookbook to help you apply your ideas for dinner. Over 9,000 recipes are gathers in one iPad application. You can quickly find recipes for dessert, breakfast, dinner, etc. Easy-to-use instructions and nutritional info will be useful to you and your friends, because you are allowed to email any recipe you like to your friend.

9. Wikipanion for iPad: Anything you want to know can be found in Wikipedia, and Wikipanion application gives you fast and easy access to this popular source. You can bookmark your entries, use multiple search methods, switch languages and hiding those you don’t need, save images to your library and more.

10. Toy-Story Read Along: Famous child story from Disney for free. Learn the story of Woody and his adventures. The book is created to bring the same level of magic used in Pixar movie. Your kids will like cute drawn pages of this e-book, and even color their drawings using a touch-screen feature.
