The Apple iPad may not be as ‘magical’ for some critics as they would have expected, but it remains a very entertaining device and is a nice look into the future of media consumption. There’s no question that the route Apple has taken is genius; they’ve built a “computer” that’s so obvious and easy to use that anyone can pick it up and understand it immediately. And there’s a lot to like, particularly in some of the innovative and engaging applications being built by third party developers right now, like the Marvel app, TweetDeck, or SketchBook Pro. In this article, I am going to unveil few popular and must have apps for your stunning iPad and the best part about it is that, all these applications are free.

1) iBooks: iBooks is an amazing way to download and read books, designed exclusively for iPad. iBooks includes the iBookstore, where you can download the latest best-selling books or your favorite classics  day or night. Browse your library on a beautiful bookshelf, tap a book to open it, flip through pages with a swipe or a tap, and bookmark your favorite passages. You can easily set the brightness of the iBooks app and there are lots of books available and some of them are completely free to download.
