The 2010 Academy Awards event is tomorrow. This is when we’ll finally know who the best actors and actresses of the past year are, what the best movie is and who the most genius film director is.

As for today, we have plenty of time to watch Oscar nominees, movies that have all chances to win this Saturday.

All the films can be downloaded to your iPad through iTunes. And you can view them tonight or tomorrow. Of course, you have surely seen some of them in 2010, because they disturbed and surprised many minds in different countries.

Best Picture Nominees

    1. Black Swan (2010) starring Natalie Portman and Vincent Cassel. You can pre-order this story about ballerina Nina from New York for $14.99. Her story was a big event in the cinemas around the world (one noisy viewer was even killed in Latvia, because he ate popcorn too loudly, his shooter is arrested). Experts predict that this movie can be the winner announced tomorrow.

    1. The Fighter (2011) starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. This docudrama is to be released in March, and you can pre-order it for $14.99 to get acquainted with the life of boxer Micky Ward.

Inception (Music from the Motion Picture)

    1. The Kids Are All Right (2010) starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore. This movie is a portrait of a modern American society. Critics call this comedy one of the best films of the year, and you can download it for $14.99 or rent for $3.99.

    1. 127 Hours (2011) starring James Franco and Amber Tamblyn. This movie is directed by Danny Boyle. His Slumdog Millionaire won the Best Picture in 2008. The new masterpiece is a true story about mountain climber Aron Ralston. He has to rescue himself from an isolated canyon in Utah, where he is trapped and injured. This thrilling story will be released in March, but you can pre-order it now for $14.99.

    1. The Social Network (2010) starring Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield. This movie is all about the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg who is sued by Harvard students who assure that he stole their idea of a social network. Watch this movie for $14.99 or rent it for $3.99.

    1. Toy Story 3 (2010), 3D cartoon by DisneyPixar. It also competes in Animated Feature Film category. This is an amazing adventure for children and their parents. Andy goes to college, and his toys start a new journey that you can watch for $14.99 (or rent for $3.99).

    1. True Grit (2010) starring Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon. Young girl Mattie Ross wishes to find the killer of her father. She travels into the Indian Nations with companions who she can’t really trust. But you can’t find what happens in the end right now, cause this western is available for pre-orders only for $14.99 (the release is planned for this summer).

    1. Winter’s Bone (2010) starring Jennifer Lawrence and John Hawkes. Meet 17-year-old Ree Dolly whose goal is to track down her father. He left her family for his bail, and the girl has to go through rough times, confronting criminals and cruel Ozark wilderness. This drama is available for renting ($3.99 and $4.99) and purchasing ($14.99 and $19.99).

Animated Feature Film Nominee

How to Train Your Dragon (2010), 3D cartoon by Dreamworks Animation. This is an epic adventure of young Viking Hiccup who happens to meet a real dragon on his island and save his friends and other inhabitants from a horrible monster. This is a beautiful, interesting and worth-watching action that you can buy for $14.99 and watch on your iPad with your children.

Documentary Nominees

    1. Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) starring Rhys Ifans Banksy and Shepard Fairey. This movie is about street art. You might have heard about Banksy, haven’t you? He is famous all over the world for leaving provocative graffiti paintings on the streets around the world. And he is not the only character you’ll get to meet for $14.99 (you can also rent this documentary for $3.99).

    1. Restrepo (2010) starring Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington. This is a chronicle about U.S. soldiers’ life in Afghanistan. The film focuses on 15 American soldiers. Remember, it’s a real war. You can watch it for $9.99 ($12.99 for HD quality) or rent for $3.99 ($4.99).

Foreign Language Film

Dogtooth (2010) starring Christos Stergioglou and Michele Valley. This thriller is available in Creek language. It’s an art house movie. The life at an isolated estate is pretty ordinary. Three girls are locked in lawns, and their father is the only person who can leave the territory in order to work on a nearby factory. And here comes Christina who is about to disturb the domestic balance and cause rebellion. The movie is available for $14.99.

Short Film (Animated & Live Action)

Day & Night (2010) by Teddy Newton. This short film is about Day and Night friendship. Of course, at first they can’t find common language, but then they discover each other’s qualities and realize that they are meant to be friends. You can download this movie on your iPad for $1.99.
