UK customers now have to pay more for gadgets such as the iPad and iPhone. VAT rates have increased up to 20%.
Some people hoped that Apple would absorb the hike and keep its original iPad prices. But the company has already reported that its tablets will cost more in the UK keeping up with the new 2011 VAT charges.
January prices for iPad models in the UK are as follows:
