The Apple iPad became an instant hit when it was released and since its introduction on April 3rd, the Apple iPad has managed to sell off over one million of their units in just a month. It was officially unveiled by Steve Jobs, who is the chief executive officer of Apple. Some people call it the larger version of the iPhone, but the Apple iPad is nothing like it. Even though it still employs the iPhone OS in its functionality, the large 10.1 inch liquid crystal display touch screen provides an amazing experience to its users. Two models of the Apple iPad have been released, the first being the Wi Fi model and the second one containing Wi Fi and 3g both. The Apple iPad comes in a range of memory storage sizes; from 16gb to 64gb. All the waiting and anticipation was worth it as the Apple iPad manages to surpass all its predecessors and takes center stage in the world of tablet computers. The device has an aluminum back which provides a strong back side and resistance to scratches. Even though it is actually designed to be used as a tablet computer, the Apple iPad features a SIM tray which can be used to provide mobile connectivity for users on the go. However, the 10.1 inch LCD screen does not really allow the Apple iPad to be a fit for the pocket. You can run all your iPod touch or iPhone applications on the Apple iPad, as the OS used is the same by both devices. Moreover, you can also download and install new applications, such as e book readers etc.

The device features a high resolution display of 1024×768 pixels and does not lack anywhere when it comes to graphics and colors. It offers stunning graphical displays and the touch interaction is perfect and extremely smooth. The glass on the iPad screen is finger print resistant and also provides resistance to scratches. It contains a 256MB DRAM which is built in to the Apple iPad’s a4 package, resulting in a more powerful user experience. The Apple iPad is designed to be used with bare fingers and not to be used with any stylus pen or while wearing gloves. The screen display is absolutely amazing, but resembles the iPhone in a lot of ways. It also has an iPod function which can be used to listen to music or download videos. The internet connectivity is superb, and a whole host of options are available to users while using the internet on their Apple iPad. Numerous options such as Wi Fi connectivity, WAP connectivity, modem and Bluetooth connectivity make the Apple iPad a highly connectible device and provide easy coverage.

It runs on a strong lithium ion polymer battery which allows a powerful battery back up and life so that users can enjoy their iPad applications and data for a longer period of time without having to constantly recharge their batteries. It deserves it place at the top completely.
