Motorola Xoom Tablet Set to Compete with iPad and iPad 2

25 Jan 2011 | iPad 2 |

Motorola will try to take a stand against Apple’s tablet PC god, the iPad and iPad 2, with its Motorola Xoom tablet.

Based on the rumors, the specs of the Motorola Xoom tablet are superior compared to the current iPad.

Apple can probably use the information to improve the specs and features of the upcoming iPad 2.

According to analysts, Motorola Xoom can be a good competitor against the iPad considering that the tablet includes a USB port and expandable memory, something that the iPad lacks. The device is also lower in price compared to the iPad.

Motorola Xoom also includes 2 MP cameras and can play Flash leaving the iPad look a little bit useless.

Analysts and consumers are currently wondering on what Apple will do to improve the features of the original iPad on the second-generation iPad 2. The company has not released even a bit of information about their new tablet yet.

Hopefully Apple will wake up from a deep sleep and finally add a USB port and micro USB port in the second generation iPad. This can at least make the device keep up with the growing competition from other tablets that are expected to be released this year.
