Microsoft User Research wants to find out details about iPad users through a two-hour, in-depth study that it’s going to carry out at its campus over the next week.

What’s intriguing about it, is that the company openly advertised its desire to connect with iPad owners “for an upcoming study to get feedback” on a Facebook page. However, the page was shut down after hours of operation.

Why the page was shut down makes the people wonder. Was it a mistake or the company had already gathered the information it needed?

The study can mean research from the part of Microsoft on which can be a good alternative app for the iPad. HP has reportedly changed to Windows 7 for its tablet/slate offering to its newly-acquired Palm OS.

However, the study seemed futile as getting the information it needs about the iPad users can take time. Important information could include learning about the software used in the iPad, for expert studies and probably release in the market after thorough testing.
