Apple has finally revealed the release of the iPhone 4 at WWDC 2010, giving the users ideas on the future of the iPad.

Apple Steve Jobs was quoted saying, Apple will ship tens of millions of FaceTime devices this year so there’s going to be a lot of people to talk to. This statement can mean the release of a next iPad generation with front-facing camera. The iPhone 4 is currently the only Apple device that has the feature.

Though the statement is not official, Apple is planning to release a new generation of iPad this spring, possibly with front-facing camera. No one can really tell since Apple is very secretive when it comes to its gadget innovations.

Meanwhile, Apple 4′s new Retina high-density screen is making the iPad look inferior. iPhone 4′s screen resolution of 2660×1774 pixels is too much for the iPad’s low system memory.

Analysts are wondering why the Retina display was not made available in the first generation of the iPhones. The cost can be the main reason or its unavailability at that time. The great front facing camera of the iPhone makes the device irresistible.

What the users can wait are the improvements of the next iPad generation, though the device does not demand a higher application yet.

Apple is set to release the iOS4 in June to upgrade the memory of the iPad. It’s still a question if users will be buying the upgrade or just stick with the first iPad generation, and wait for the new generation, probably with a denser screen and front-facing camera.
