Mingshi Kuo, an analyst in Digitimes, claims that the number of Apple’s iPad production orders has gone above 2,000,000 in July and will remain at that level for the following months as well. According to Mr. Kuo’s estimates, there are between 2.3 and 2.35 million iPads ordered from Apple in July. He also states that around 60% of units ordered are Wi-Fi plus 3G iPads.

iPad, which is Apple’s new hit, is a touchscreen tablet device using iOS, allowing Wi-Fi or 3G access to Internet and playback of video and music files. Any wireless keyboard with Bluetooth module can be used with it. iPad runs most apps developed for iPhone.

Even though Digitimes is far not the most reliable source of news related to Apple, there is one thing you can tell for sure: iPad is selling so well that some Apple Stores already don’t have it in stock. The situation with the company’s online store is not much better: if you are ordering the iPad from Apple online, expect a 7-10 day shipping delay, regardless of the unit’s model.

As the Apple craze continues, there are no iPads gathering dust in the company’s warehouses: all devices are sold immediately after being made.
