If you have a long way to go and do not want your kids to stare through the windows during the trip why not choose some iPad applications for them?

3. Wurdle: Even if your kids are beginners in reading and spelling this iPad app available for $1.99 will entirely absorb their attention. Find as many words as you can before you are out of time. There is also an untimed mode and sound effects are very good.

4. FaceMelter: To have a hearty laugh get this iPad app for $1.99! Import a picture to your iPad and save it, and then create funny facial expressions with the touch of your fingers. There is no doubt that it will cause great amusement at your family get-togethers. One can also use these deformed pictures as contact images to always be in good mood.

5. Smacktalk: This is a voice-changing iPad app you can get for just $0.99. Animated and overwhelmingly cute guinea pig, puppy, kitten, and Chihuahua repeat what your children say into the microphone. There are high-pitched squeaky and low-pitched freaky voices, moreover, no matter what language you speak Smacktalk will work all the same. Just make sure you can bear your kids talking like that for hours!

6. Chuzzle: Pop little Chuzzles matching three or more of the same colour, they burst giggling with their fur and eyeballs scattering.
