iPad 2 Release Date is Here, and it will be Available for Online Order in Friday

Apple has confirmed that retailers will start selling the iPad 2 on Friday, 5 p.m. and home bodies will have the convenience of purchasing the device online starting 4 a.m. Eastern and 1 a.m. Pacific, on the same day.

Consumers can finally purchase and get their hands on the most-awaited iPad2 at 236 Apple retail stores across the US on Friday, 5 PM local time. Pushy consumers are expected to wait in long lines to purchase the device since purchasing it online will take days for shipping.

Third-party stores like Walmart, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Best Buy, Target, and other certified Apple resellers will start selling the device at 5 p.m. local time, Friday.

Apple is offering free Personal Setup for consumers who will be buying the device in Apple retail stores. This includes setting up e-mails, downloading apps from the App store, and customizing the device making sure the device is functioning when the buyer leaves the store.

Apple has fulfilled the release date of the second generation of itablet: March 11. The company is also able to keep up with the first released pricing information of the second-gen iPad. 16GB model will have a suggested retail price of $499, $599 for the 32GB, and $699 for the 64GB model.

Wi-Fi 3G models will be available in suggested retail price of $629 for the 16GB , $729 for 32GB, and $829 for the 64GB model.

Moreover, iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G models that will work with Verizon will be exclusively available in the US, with suggested retail price of $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model, and $699 for the 64GB model.  Models with Wi-Fi + 3G can be purchased for $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model, and $829 for the 64GB model.

Consumer from other countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, UK, and Switzerland can purchase the iPad 2 at a later date: March 25.

The availability of the iPad 2 in other countries is expected to follow in the next months, and international pricing for the device has not been disclosed yet.
