It’s not a question that iPad’s most outstanding feature is its large 9.7-inch screen that has a touchscreen function, a wide viewing angle and a bright image.

You can now output your tablet’s screen to the TV. And Display Out app will help you to do so. This application was designed by Ryan Petrich. It can mirror the tablet’s screen on an external display.

This application is similar to such iPhone apps as TV Out, Display Out, etc. It simply extend video out to your iPad’s screen. It allows creating app videos by letting you record either in-app or Springboard video sequences. Display Out for iPad also records app launch and run time.

The main issue with this application is that your video won’t quite fill the iPad’s screen. The positive sides about it are great Settings integration. It’s easy to enable and disable video mirroring and improve video quality.

Display Out application has the following features. It supports Apple’s iPad VGA cable and can detect orientation and connectivity. This iPad app is available through the Big Boss Cydia Repository for $1.99.

One important thing you need to know before getting this useful utility is that it can work for a jailbroken iPad only. And you should have DVD-R or any other recording device on the other end of the VGA cable in order to capture your video.

Some facts about iPad:

Apple’s new tablet uses the same touchscreen technology as both the iPod touch and iPhone. Still the iPad has a better picture quality than many LCDs.

As you might have remembered, Steve Jobs (Apple CEO) used to introduce the new device’s screen as a LED-backlit with IPS. This was a reference to a type of LCD screen that can be found in NDTVs.

IPS stands for In-Plane Switching. This helps to fix some issues. For instance, most twisted nematic LCS that are produced for laptops and phones have a limited viewing angle (about 110-120 degrees). Well, IPS offers viewers a viewing angle up to 180 degrees.
