How to Apply Animated and Static Boot Logos to iOS 5 Devices

Nowadays you can still do the same, even if your iPad or other iOS device is running iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 firmware. Thanks to iH8Sn0w, a well-known hacker and developer, we can now use a free Cydia tweak dubbed Animate Fix also known as Animate Fix for iOS 4.x.x/5.0.x.

What does this Cydia tweak allow you to do? With its help, you can easily get static and animated boot logos to any device running various versions of firmware from iOS 4 to iOS 5. The only thing you have to be sure of before applying the Animate Fix is that your iPad, iPod touch or iPhone has been jailbroken.

Instruction: Applying Custom Boot Logos to iOS 5

Step # 1

Now, as your device is finally jailbroken, you can launch Cydia and use it to search for animate fix for iOS 4.x.x/5.0.x in order to apply animated and static boot logos to your iOS gadget.

Once the Cydia tweak appears on the search results, you should tap on it to make it install to your device.

As soon as the Animate Fix is installed on the gadget, you should do the following steps. Go to the Sections Tab. You’ll see the Addons (BootLogo) section. Inside it, you are able to browse through the big list of boot logos available. Choose the ones you like the most and install them. Test as much as you like until you find what suits you the best.

By now, you have probably installed boot logos you liked. You can close Cydia now and move to the Settings.app. Go into the new BootLogo tab. Here you can choose which boot logo to use now – under the Extras section.

As soon as you have chosen your boot logo, press the Home button and restart your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to apply it.

Congrats! You are done! Now, a custom boot logo is applied to your iOS 5 device.
