Getting e-Books for the iPad

06 Jul 2010 | Advice |

If you are in a foreign country, whether living there or on holiday, and are an avid reader, you will probably encounter a problem. Where can you get books relatively quickly? Sure you can always order them from Amazon, but how long will that take? And of course, you’ve read all the books you want to in the local bookshop, if there is one, that is.

If you have an iPad, it could be the answer to your prayers. You can get the Kindle app and download whatever titles are available, for free, which is amazing when you think about how much you’d have spent in that local bookshop. You can also download e-Books from iTunes for free and install them on your iPad.

The iBooks app can use iTunes books and epub format and you can download e-books from feedbooks.com then drag them to the books section of your iPad in the iTunes menu.

There are different formats and a lot of different apps for you to use. But it solves your problem of not having a good book to read! And the good thing about the iPad is that the screen makes it easy for you to read the book of your choice.
