Now Georgian President’s son, Eduard joined his father as a world leader, because he is a new iPad typing record holder. A local TV company, Imedi, has just reported, that this Tuesday the world record for the quickest typing on iPad was set by teenage son of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
Eduard Saakashvili, who is just 15 years old, managed to type the English alphabet right on his iPad just for 5.26 seconds! It is 1.05 seconds quicker in comparison to the prior record, which was set by a British teenager, Charlie Joseph McDonnell, on June 27 last year.
Guinness World Records observer, Seyda Subasi Gemici, documented this unusual feat, which was held in the Black Sea resort of Batumi. Eduard Saakashvili said that he was very happy. “After I heard of this record I then realized that it is possible for me to break it. Inviting an agent from Guinness World Records and registering my record officially was probably the most difficult thing”, the President’s son mentioned. He also told the Georgian television that he had spent several months to be prepared for the big event.
“Our whole family really worried. And now I am a very proud mother”, said Sandra Roelofs, President Saakashvili’s wife, who observed the victory of her son.
Eduard Saakashvili was allowed to use three tries to break the record, but he succeeded on the first attempt. As it was already mentioned, the achievement was recorded in Batumi, with Sandra Roelofs, Eduard’s younger brother Nikoloz and Eduard’s grandmother, who was also there. This March, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his little son Nikoloz, who is 5-year-old, had already attracted mass media attention by taking part in military exercises to improve the morale of the armed forces.
