Day by day new and more innovative uses are being fond of the iPad. There are many new additions to the Wi-Fi device. The Seattle based coffee giants The Starbucks, for example, are offering free Wi-Fi in all its stores in the U.S. starting this July.
According to Mr. Howard Schultz, the Starbucks CEO, this program is to start in all the stores on July 1st. This was said at the Wired Disruptive by Design business conference.
It will be a user friendly and simplified interface where the customer can access all iPad’s functions at the click of a single button.
Later plans include augmentation with the Starbucks Digital Network. This service is a joint venture between Yahoo and Starbucks. Customers will have access to free content, The New York Times, USA Today, ZAGAT, free downloads and premium material from The Wall Street Journal, and iTunes.
Earlier this service was available at Starbucks to all Apple iPhone users with an active U.S. plan. But now the service is being extended to all Wi-Fi devices including the iPad.
Thus Americans will have access to several thousand extra Wi-Fi locations for free when they are using their tablet.
