The new facility will be available by a new version of Sky Mobile TV that is already present for the iPhone. The software will be free to download from the Apple App Store but new users will have to pay £35 per month for enjoying the service in their iPad. Existing subscribers will have to spend £6 only for the upgraded better quality service per month.

Subscribers will be allowed browse the Electronic Program Guide for the schedule of current and future programs, the touch interface will provide a beautifully animated navigation that is easy for anyone to use and understand. Picture and sound clarity will be optimum just the LCD HD TV experienced in living room. Pausing Live TV, Recording and time shifting functions will also be integrated in the Sky TV iPad application soon to enrich the viewing pleasure for the customers.

Old subscribers will be given the facility to enjoy this service free of charge for the first three months for testing after which they can choose to continue by paying £6 per month only. Anyone subscribing the Sky TV Application in his or her iPad for the first time will also have the advantage of experiencing the service for one month without paying for it, after the free evaluation period ends; it will be available with a price tag of £35 per month.

Sky TV is the first to implement substitute TV subscription facility in the iPad and more are predicted to follow their path along with BBC who already offered a customized web video version for the flash less Apple iPad.
