Control Your Mac And Devices with Latest Siri Proxy Plugins

04 Feb 2012 | News |

A few days ago, we published a post talking about Facebook Siri Plugin, how to use and install it. So today  we decided to post some more plugins.

News of the Siri plugins comes directly from its developer in the form of a video uploaded on YouTube where he demoes the four new plugins.

The first Siri plugin demonstrated by the developer enables sending of text messages by using Google Voice. The next Siri plugin is for Wake On LAN: the developer asks Siri questions to wake up his personal computer, which it does. The third Siri plugin enables the starting iTunes, playing/stopping music and songs, playing the following track, increasing/decreasing volume. And the last, and surely not the least, Siri plugin allows opening/closing of any software on the desktop along with minimizing each window.

These Siri plugins have been made possible thanks to developer plamoni’s Siri Proxy Server that run on a user’s personal computer that makes utilization of a fake local DNS registry for guzzoni.apple.com (Siri’s official servers) which enables them to use custom instructions with Siri over their WiFi system.

It effectively cracks open Siri Server Protocols which experienced hackers and coders can use to provide their own code+data. We have already seen Siri coping with thermostat, managing and navigating Plex on Apple TV with SiriProxy Plex plugin and  also starting, stopping or locking, unlocking a car with Siri Proxy Viper Control plugin for iDevices.

A good thing about it is how you don’t need to jailbreak your iPhone 4S to work with these wonderful Siri plugins. All it takes is, well, a somewhat difficult process and installing an application on your Mac.

Focus on creating custom Siri plugins has only just began so we expect a lot of cool functionality to be incorporated by clever coding types. So check out iPadshouse to know more about hottest Siri Proxy Plugins and their developers!
