Chrome Sync Pro Now Runs as Simple App on iPad

After using Google Chrome, I still find out that Google hasn’t launched an iOS friendly app to access your browser history, tabs and social bookmarks on the go. Google doesn’t seem to think an iOS edition of Google Chrome with, possibly, a small set of functionalities could be required.

Thankfully, a creator in the App Store has figured out some method to Chrome Sync session from the desktop to an application, aptly named Chrome Sync Pro.

Chrome Sync is a mixture iPhone-iPad app that enables you to bring your Google Chrome information with you on the go. All Chrome Syns Pro needs you install the complimentary Chrome file format for your Windows Mac or Pc.

Priced at $0.99, Chrome Sync Pro runs as a simple app for iPhone and iPad, and has three sections at the bottom to change between your bookmarks, open up tabs and history. When I first discovered Chrome Sync Pro my main objective was protection – it turns out, the iPad and iPhone app gets your Chrome info through an extension that doesn’t get in touch with 3rd-party servers, but copies your browser’s data into a Google document in your profile.

The data in Google Docs is protected in some sort of way, I think, so that only Chrome Sync Pro for iPad and iPhone can read it and display properly on your device. I’d like the creators to describe this method better, for sure, but I’m not deeply worried about security and privacy if my Chrome data is passed along via OAuth to Google Docs.

Working on iPad or iPhone, the Chrome Sync Pro app is really easy and practical. When you open it up, it’ll renew with the newest data from your Chrome browser and permit you to tap on links.

Chrome Sync Pro supports various third-party iOS browsers rather than Safari, although some own favorites like Grazing and iCab aren’t supported yet. There’s a refresh button to up-date the sync results from your desktop computer, but I have found the extension to be stable and quick at syncing back tabs and history to Google Docs.

Chrome Sync Pro is an easy utility that could use a prettier interface and much more third-party browser integration.
