Around a couple of hours ago, Apple announced its largest quarter in company history. Tim Cook’s team sold a lot more iPhones and made a lot more money than Apple ever has in a 3 months period.
Furthermore, on today’s listing of Apple’s broken records is the number of Apple TVs it sold throughout the holiday quarter. It seems that the small $99 media box is a $100 million dollar item for the company…
Tim Cook said today that Apple sold 1.4 million Apple TVs throughout its last quarter of 2011 – just about the most it’s sold in a quarter since it introduced the iOS-based gadget back in October of 2010. But inspite of its success, the CEO still talks about the device as a hobby.
Apple has always been rumored to be working on a full-blown, connected Television set. We have heard lots of gossip concerning its screen size as well as other features, but clearly none of it has materialized yet.

Use Airplay Mirroring on the iPad 2/iPhone 4S in iOS 5 [Tutorial]
If you are an owner of a new iPad 2 or iPhone 4S with iOS 5 installed, this easy tutorial will help you to activate AirPlay mirroring on your gadget. Don’t forget, you’ll need an Apple TV (2nd generation) so as to use this feature.
Step # 1: Ensure your Apple TV is on, and it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
Step # 2: From the device’s home screen, tap twice the home button in order to bring up the multitasking tray.
Step # 3: Swipe right two times to bring up the volume slider, and tap the AirPlay icon.
Step # 4: Switching the source to Apple TV should reveal the Mirroring option. Allow it.
As opposed to Apple’s first AirPlay introduction, just about all applications are suitable for AirPlay mirroring (except video from applications like Hulu that are copyrighted). Including the Camera app can be mirrored on the big screen, turning the TV into a huge viewfinder. FaceTime works well through mirroring on the 4S.
