App Store Offers Steam iPhone Client App

People that are use Steam, the well known game distribution platform for the Mac and PC, will be happy to hear that there’s now the official Steam iPhone client obtainable in the App Store.

Known as Steam Mobile app will allow users to carry out a number of tasks that were earlier reserved for the desktop computer client, such as talking with other Steam iPhone members and going through Steam’s Game Catalog…

The Steam Mobile app’s description reads:

“With the free Steam iPhone app, you can participate in the Steam community wherever you go. Chat with your Steam friends, browse community groups and user profiles, read the latest gaming news and stay up to date on unbeatable Steam sales.”

It seems that the Steam Mobile app is still in beta, but Steam iPhone app is sending out testing codes to users enthusiastic about trying it. If you wish to get the process started, you can download Steam Mobile from the App Store absolutely free.

You can make game buys (if you will have to use your PC or Mac to download the games), browse community groups, lookup user profiles, stay up-to-date with the most recent gaming news and know whether there is an ongoing sale. And no, you won’t be able to install any games from Steam to iPhone, iPad or iPod.
