Samsung Galaxy Tab and Dell Streak can’t expect Apple to give up from the competition: it’s currently preparing for the release of the 7-inch iPad.
According to a gadget review website, Apple has been working on new formats and size for the iPad: 7-inch version.
The 7-inch version of the iPad is intended to compete with the new devices released by Dell and Samsung.
The news about the 7-inch iPad is currently a hot issue in fact, Economic Daily News, a Taiwan newspaper reported that the new device will be utilizing the Cortex A9 processor core, 512MB of RAM just like in the iPhone 4 and a 1.024 x 768 pixel IPS panel.
The IPS panel will work great in enhancing the resolution of the smaller version of the iPad. It will give the device a greater pixel density.
The components of the device will be provided by different manufacturers. The IPS panels will be provided by the Korean manufacturer LG and Taiwanese manufacturer Chi Mei. AUO and Sintek will provide the digitizer while Foxconn along with other contract manufacturers Compal and Pegraton will be assembling the new form factor iPad.
