A 103-year old great grandmother from Wales is the oldest Facebook user and probably the oldest iPad user in the world as well.
Lillian Lowe is said to have created an account on Facebook weeks ago with the intention of getting updates from her seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Lowe says she has become a Facebook fan since she signed up.
The tech-savvy grandmother updates her Facebook account twice a week, and is said to have loved the new features this social networking site offers.
According to Lowe she is not surprised how technology has evolved within the years. And she currently adores the iPad.
I love it – it is very exciting. It’s a wonderful way of finding out about things, Lowe assures.
Lillian Lowe is currently using the iPad of his grandson, but she is hoping to get an iPad of her own.
The iPad and Facebook are two great medium that grandmothers can take advantage of in tracking their grandchildren and family members.
Lowe suggests that grandmothers around the globe should use Facebook to keep track and keep in touch with their family members all the time.
Lillian Lowe who will turn 104 next year is believed to be the oldest among the 500 million Facebook users around the world.
She has taken the crown for the oldest Facebook user when 104-year-old Ivy Bean died in her sleep in July.
